Health and Safety
-
Yes, Pilates can be very effective for managing and reducing back pain by strengthening the core and improving posture. I have personal experience with back pain and am skilled in creating programs to alleviate it.
-
It’s important to discuss any injuries or health conditions before starting. Book a free consultation and let’s talk.
I can then tailor sessions to accommodate and support your specific needs.
Getting Started
-
Those new to Pilates can join the beginner classes and learn the basic principles at a slow and steady pace. You will then develop your learning and strength as you progress.
-
Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows for movement. It's best to avoid baggy clothes as they can make it harder for me to observe your form.
-
Ensure you have a comfortable space to move in, a mat and a hand towel. Occasionally we sit on blocks; watch my video to find the perfect height for your block and head pad.
-
You will need a Zoom account and laptop.
Before the class, please think about your set up.
Ideally you’ll position the laptop so I can see your mat lengthways as shown.
